This course  gives you the tools to react quickly in an active shooter situation, and learn how to control bleeding in life-threatening situations.

  • Recognize warning signs using situational awareness

  • Apply critical stop the bleeding techniques
  • Respond quickly and confidently in an emergency
  • Optional add-on of CPR/AED or First Aid certification

WHAT YOU RECEIVE: 

Instructor-led, "hands-on" course covering:

  • Preparing for an incident
  • Immediate actions following an incident
  • Bleeding control techniques (trauma dressing, tourniquets,etc.)
  • Treating for shock and other injuries

 Online assignment prior to class

Bleeding control items and kits will be available to purchase during class but are also available in our retail store or on our website.

 

LENGTH:

20-minute pre course video assignment

90-minute "hands-on" classroom session

 

CPR & First Aid Add-On:

CPR & First Aid certification may be added during registration.  These will include an online assignment followed by an additional hour of classroom with an instructor.

 

OPTIONS

 

 

You can add “blended” courses. You will receive an online assignment to complete for each course, then the instructor will spend an extra hour after class doing the “hands-on” skills for the course you chose.

 

 

Blended Courses

Virtual or "blended" courses combine the flexibility of computer-based training with in-person skills practice and testing. After students complete the cognitive portion of the course online at their own pace, they complete a hands-on Skills Session which includes practice and testing with an Instructor.


This style of learning meets the standards of the American Heart Association and is NOT considered an, "online" course.
