RECOMMENDED FOR: 

These courses are designed for anyone with little or no medical training who needs a course completion card for job, regulatory (for example, OSHA), or other requirements. These courses can also be taken by anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting. Teachers, athletic coaches, factory workers and many others take these courses.

*Certification is through the Health & Safety Institute which meets OSHA standards and follows American Heart Association guidelines.  On very rare occasions, an employer may require the certificate be issued by the American Heart Association.  You may add this during registration.

 

LENGTH:

90 minutes online + 60 minutes with instructor

 

INFORMATION:

After registering, you will receive a link to the online portion of the course.

Log in and out until completed.

Upon completion of the online portion, students must complete a "hands-on" skills session with an Instructor.

Blended Courses

Virtual or "blended" courses combine the flexibility of computer-based training with in-person skills practice and testing. After students complete the cognitive portion of the course online at their own pace, they complete a hands-on Skills Session which includes practice and testing with an Instructor.


This style of learning meets the standards of the American Heart Association and is NOT considered an, "online" course.
