Chapter 1.5. First Aid and CPR Standards and Training for Public Safety Personnel

Article 2. General Training Provisions 
§ 100014. Application and Scope. 
Except those whose duties are primarily clerical or administrative, the following regularly employed public safety personnel shall be trained to administer first aid, CPR and use an AED according to the standards set forth in this Chapter: 
(1) lifeguard; (2) firefighter; (3) peace officer.

California Penal Code § 13518

This course meets the refresher training requirements per code.

INFORMATION:

Survival CPR & First Aid, LLC is an authorized presenter for the California Peace Officers Standards and Training (POST) organization.  We will complete all required POST documentation (EDI) for our classes.  For agencies wishing to complete all EDI documentaiton in-house, we will provide all necesary documentation required to submit for POST approval.  This may include course outline, hourly distribution worksheet, instructor resumes, etc.  This service is included in the cost of the course.

Blended Courses

Virtual or "blended" courses combine the flexibility of computer-based training with in-person skills practice and testing. After students complete the cognitive portion of the course online at their own pace, they complete a hands-on Skills Session which includes practice and testing with an Instructor.


This style of learning meets the standards of the American Heart Association and is NOT considered an, "online" course.
